Stayed up a bit later with the X-box or Playstation?

Your club gave you a training programme to keep you ‘ticking over’ but you might do a bit tomorrow, or maybe the next day…

We’re guessing these apply to some of you in varying degrees.

“But why shouldn’t I?” we hear you say, “after all it was a long season and I needed it psychologically – you know, relax a bit, unwind – I’ll worry about it pre-season”

Well, the truth is that how you should deal with the off-season (including unwinding and relaxing a little) is another email altogether!

In a perfect world, come pre-season, you’d be ready to roll with minimal work required on your body composition, leaving just your fitness to focus on…but we’re guessing you’re probably not in this position?
